Arsenal Football club terminates Unai Emery contract. The former manager was kicked out of Emirates Stadium after a long poor run.

The club has appointed former player Freddie Ljungberg as interim head coach, having terminated Emery’s contract due to “results and performances not being at the level required”.

In a short statement, the club added: “We have asked Freddie Ljungberg to take responsibility for the first team as interim head coach. We have full confidence in Freddie to take us forward.

The club already in talks with several club managers for a replacement.
