Yesterday, leaders of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya alliance claimed that everything is ready for the nationwide Saba Saba protests that are slated for this Friday.
Speaking to the media at Nairobi’s Kamukunji Grounds, where Raila Odinga, the leader of the opposition, would address the major gathering, the Azimio leaders asked their followers to arrive in huge numbers as early as 4.30 a.m.
“Everyone understands that Saba Saba is a historical day. So, with Raila Odinga as our leader, we will start writing a new chapter in history from this location tomorrow.
“We encourage Kenyans of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds to start getting here as early as 4.30 a.m. We will have a very calm gathering, according to Makongeni MCA Peter Imwatok.
