Nakuru county inject Millions in reviving pyrethrum industry – Governor Lee

Nakuru county has set aside 35 Million for pyrethrum seeds and free distribution across the county. The county has also set aside 45Million to revive Pyrethrum Industry that died more than a decade ago.

Speaking in Nakuru town, governor Lee Kinyanjui vowed to revive all dead plants in the county.

“We are committed to reviving all industries in the county. We are looking forward to reviving the cotton plant as well.” Governor Kinyanjui.

Agriculture CS Mwangi Kiunjuri said that the government will inject another  45Million to revive the pyrethrum industry.

“We are committed to providing food and agricultural resources. Let the governor tell me any agricultural project and will help. We are committed to food security. We are committed to reducing poverty levels.” CS Kiunjuri said.

The reviving of the firms comes after Rivatex and Thika textiles were revived by the President and Deputy President in Partnership with Uasin Gishu and Kiambu county respectively.
