Inject party leader Morara Kebaso to take social media break

Political activist and Inject Party leader Morara Kebaso has declared that he will be pausing his social engagement activities. Morara will temporarily stop social media engagements.

On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, Morara announced via his social media platform that he is taking a brief hiatus from civic education and social engagement to reevaluate his strategies.

Furthermore, Morara credited his brief hiatus to a series of assaults and intimidation from the police, whom he feels have outmanoeuvred him.

“I am taking a brief pause to reevaluate my strategy.” I am facing a challenge that requires resolution.

“I require a fresh approach to rally my dedicated supporters to stand by me during times of adversity,” he stated.

“The attacks have escalated, and the police have adapted; they occur on days when significant events are taking place, allowing them to go unnoticed. That is the reason I require a pause.”

The activist expressed that he is sincerely striving for a better Kenya and now requires the country to stand by him, noting that many of his supporters only offer their encouragement online but fail to appear when he faces challenges.

“I am truly advocating for Kenya, but I require Kenya to advocate for me.” Thus, I must discover a method to persuade Kenya to advocate on my behalf.

“Many of my supporters express their enthusiasm for me online, but they disappear when I find myself in difficult situations,” Morara said.

Morara cautioned young leaders against accepting donations with stipulations, becoming part of anyone’s project, or participating in activities that could undermine their principles.

He mentioned that people in leadership roles frequently misinterpret and take things out of context.

“During this brief pause, I want to share a message of encouragement with emerging leaders.”

“Do not allow anyone to diminish your enthusiasm. Stay faithful to your principles. Refrain from accepting substantial donations that come with stipulations that may undermine your values.

“Do not become a project for anyone. You are sufficient in your current state. Maintain modest expectations to prevent feelings of disappointment. Instead of complaining, focus on creating solutions,” he advised.

“Exercise caution regarding your conversations and the words you choose. The realm of leadership can be quite challenging. Sometimes people will misunderstand you and take your words out of context.”
