To monitor state officers’ travel, Govt introduces digital tracking system FOTMIS

The Government of Kenya has introduced a new digital tracking system, named FOTMIS, to track, process, and approve foreign travel for all state officers, including CSs, PSs, and other top state officials.

The system aims to cut public spending and ensure proper fund use.

This system effectively ensures the government’s commitment to reducing public expenditure.

One of the ways we can surely beat corruption in our country is through the use of technology and precisely such systems.

The government’s members now advocate for the implementation of the system in all procurement procedures, as these processes often lead to corruption and theft.

Some government officials claim that the next step is to ensure that for all approved travel, the airline of choice should be KQ so that money circulates within the Kenyan economy.

The country needs something that will monitor corruption and embezzlement of public funds. That would be very beneficial to the citizens, too.
