Alexander Antoine Ziegler, a citizen of the United States of America, was brought before a court in Malindi on charges of sexually abusing child victims in Gede village, which is located in Kilifi County.
Ziegler may have committed these crimes over a five-year period against children between the ages of 10 and 14.
According to the allegations, he made threats about the assistance he provided to the victims and their families.
Despite the fact that he rejected all eleven counts of defilement throughout the court’s procedures, the magistrate did not grant his bail request because of concerns that he could leave.
On September 27, the police will reopen the investigation into similar charges against another suspect, South African citizen Michael Balentine, who is currently at large.
People on social media could not relent with the 11 defilement cases against him, with Fredrick Katana saying, “This is a crime; he belongs in jail! Sadly, we have selective justice because we have old men forcing the same young girls into marriages and their parents sell them off; that’s also a crime, no?”
“Really, 11 cases of assault, and she still wants to get out on bail. He deserves it and should be jailed, as he is not safe for our children.”
